I don't know why, but there is no search function on WoN forums. If it's so big problem to code it then use a google script for that.

Here is a fake screenshot, which represents my idea:

We really need that function, and I want other members to comment here.

Why?

Very VERY rarely have I ever been in a situation where this would have been useful, and in the end it wasn't necisarry anyway

WE MUST HAVE THAT in order to not post a repeated ideia. I like it very much ^^ I usually have to use google. Not as accurate. Thumbed and supported

If an idea is so far buried that it must be searched for it was either ignored or plain out forgotten about, necroposting is useless in most cases in either incidence

I support this idea, I don't think it's hard to add it.

Thumbed up.

Well the thing is that the Admins just don't want to spend their time on this when you can just go to google and type "War of Ninja blah blah" or "site:forums.warofninja.com blah blah"

Your idea would need to have the search function coded into the site to pull all the results and it would need a result page/pages. It takes just a few seconds to go to google and search.

Technically, Tsugaga, you can do that to each and every website; however, the greatest share (and by greatest, you know that I mean 80% or even more of the total share of websites currently hosted) of webpages still implement an integrated search bar, which makes me think the excuse currently given is a FAIL excuse. Otherwise, the other websites wouldn't take such action and, as far as I know, regarding the current context, War Of Ninja is not essencially different from any other forum that do such. This sounds awfully like an excuse from the staff to me - since other websites wouldn't display this trend if the search bar was too difficult to implement and/or would not bring any benefit.

That's right, its just that the Admins never ever have showed much interest in the forums at all. They get made, and if they are up and running then they are satisfied. I'm not speaking for them btw, just how I see it. To them the game is where 100% of their focus gos. Tho it would be nice, its just that the Admins have always said they won't make updates that are wanted out of laziness, when the member could take an extra 3 seconds to do it the existing way. I think they said t6hat, or Nori... idk :amused

Search bar was already suggested

I have already brought this up or suggested to Yukigaaru. So do not feel like we have considered this, at the moment, it does not seem like it will happen anytime soon, BUT fear not, it has been considered and the possibilities of it happening are pretty high.

I think this prove that we really need one.

If a topic is old enough to not be in the first page and are within the archives, I don't think it's a good idea to revive the topic. It's necroposting as well as maybe the info back then is obsolete now (not updated).

A Good ideia is a good ideia, can be more or less discussed, but how do we know the adms have the time to read ALL this topics? Would be nice to be able to bump them back time to time when a new commnet could be made about the ideia without spamming.

Maybe thumbs up should also put the post here instead of just commeting... Don't know.

First I was like - My god, will sure be rick roll

But then I was Like - Loooooooool

I don't think google is as accurate as a search engine could be, for exmaple, to search posts per author.
