Topic: War of Ninja Survey

Like: Uniqueness, organization, the members, and much more.
Dislike: Lack of activity, mod inactivity (a lot of them barely get on)
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
Like: Uniqueness once again, story, art, characters, skills, items, energy system, the way where you have to use strategy, token system, market, and so much more.
Dislike: Possibly the lack of adding new characters, lack of activity with members AND mods (lots of rule breaking on the chat all the time), the way match-ups are determined (mostly with points, a lot of people that's not even in the same arena and is level 1).
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
More members with more member and mod activity, big/small events, AOTW and SOTW back up, maybe even a contests/events section for members to post where they host, "War of Ninja work in progress"/news updates, and actual more updates.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
More and faster updates with new characters, regions, or anything else. More people, more activity with members and mods on the chat, match-up system. And what about the tournament stuff?
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
Forum: A search bar wouldn't be bad, it could also search much more than just topics, it can search members, because sometimes I want to find a user which I forgot. A theme changer (and holiday themes when the time comes), market options for stuff like this: Click and Click and more options of that. Maybe a sitemap option right below "Go to WoN starpage", And as Tsugaga said: Look in the Ideas and Suggestions section, look them over, and implant some stuff.
Game: More chat options like saky said, evolutions/trainings, a custom background option, way to earn more and faster tokens (for people who can't play as much and others who just don't feel like it), a war set-up where people can choose their teams of people and whatnot, same with clans (kind of like the alpha tournaments), and I also like what Nihilus said about translations. (Same thing to what Tsugaga said: Look over suggestions in it's section and implant some of them. Something like title packs and more)
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
Advertise more, as many people above me said. More, constant updates and events to keep people here, so they don't leave. I also liked the idea of a video as a couple said. And maybe by recruiting x amount of players here, you get certain titles.

Greetings members of War of Ninja,
The end of the year is coming up, and with it comes the one year anniversary of War of Ninja. With this in mind, we would like to ask you a few questions about your experience.
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Forums?
I like the whole overall designs and look of the forums. It's very neat.
What I don't like is the lack of activity here, and random spam topics made when there is activity.
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
I like the fact it's more unique than the other arena games.
I dislike some of the crappy balance changes.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
Said afore, a search box. It prevents useless 'Searching for a team' topics.
We also need official contest and such from the admins and mods. Things get boring around here without those things.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
Better balancing.
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
More forum coding for post on forums.
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
Buy ads.
Take account the great ideas our fellow members post here, like Tsu's clan idea.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to answer this survey. We hope that the answers you provide us can better help us understand your desires and expectations from us, here at War of Ninja.
Thank you once again,
War of Ninja Staff.
* Please note that all forum rules do apply.

Likes: The style is nice and the color scheme is good. The thumbs up system is cool too (tough can be improved).
Dislikes: Like everyone else, the lack of activity I guess.
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
Likes: The game is the better arena game I've played. The addition of items and the swap system really sets it apart for others. The story is very good too, considering it was build from scratch.
Dislikes: The token system, mostly. It was a response to older players that hadn't much to do after all missions, but it really hurts the casual player and inhibits newcomers.
I think the introduction of new content should be more frequent too.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
It's kinda minor, but I'd like to suggest a upgrade on the thumbs up system. First I'd like to be able to thumb someone up without having to recharge the whole page, and there should also be included thumbs down.
I suggest taking a look at League of Legends' forums, their system works really well.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
More frequent updates. I see no reason to release region 3 all together. Each village could be release progressively as they get ready. New things more often helps keep the playerbase interested, and it also avoid players get overwhelmed with information when it finally comes out.
On the balance changes, I think it's good right now, but I'd like more mod-community interaction. Yuudai's last post is an great example of what I mean, the way he explained the reason behind each change instead of just throwing them there. It would be even better if the mods participated more often on the discussion on the balance thread.
Finally, the token system. First, the token gain with missions should be waaay higher, so the new player could buy new stuff more easily. It feels really bad for the casual player not to be able to have all the chars.
For the more hardcore user who have more tokens that they can spend, there should be extra stuff that could be unlocked via tokens. For example, forum extras (colored border on avatar, colored names, stuff like this) and bonus titles.
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
Mentioned before.
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
First of all, lots of advertising. This game is really good, so if more people could get to try it the playerbase would naturally grow.
Second, better new-player support. For many the game is not easy to learn, so the easier it gets on the very beginning, the more likely the players would stick to it.
Third, improve matchmaking to avoid very new players getting matched against veteran ones. It disincentive them to play when they get crushed over and over.
Just as a final note: keep up with the good job guys! This game has a lot of potential!

■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
Like: The forum and the close community. Like the fact that members are involved in the balancing. Also, I like how this game is totally different from N-A or S-A with great features like items and swapping
Dislike: The wait for 3rd region, tourney support and the other thing. Honestly, I like the forum.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
Forum seems to be fine. The light brown theme gives the forum a good look, but at the same time, it grows weary. So a new theme would be appreciated (even if it's interchangeable.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
Not sure.
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
Not sure.
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
I think it's pretty simple. Not everyone knows English. I suggest tutorials in different languages: not just in standard English.

I dislike the inactivity sometimes, but otherwise awesome.
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
I love the game itself. The only thing I dislike is the lack of tourney support, etc.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
More activity. Don't know how though. Maybe a forum game which are designed by admins might be good.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
More content, and also some nice reworks to present UP characters.
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
Spectator mode might be awesome. Tournament support. Also new regions and chars.
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
If it's possible to advertise more, or if the game grew bigger in content, that might increase population. Population growth right now is the best way for WoN to grow.

■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Forums?
There's nothing in particular that I dislike about the forums. Overall the forums provide access to a very involved community and are well moderated.
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
Given that it follows the basic format of an arena game, there's nothing I can think of to criticize that wouldn't apply to the fundamental functions or inevitability of an arena game.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
More activity from the staff; responding to the regular topics, providing their input on the game, etc.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
The current metagame, although I suppose it's inevitable than another type of frustrating metagame will rise in its place.
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
The forum could really use a search function. It would also be really nice to see an easily accessible list of the staff and what each individual contributes to the project.
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
Advertising. I've posted threads on the two other forums I frequent to advertise War of Ninja. Perhaps hold some advertising campaign, providing some incentive for those who can prove they helped. War of Ninja needs exposure.

■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
LOVE the story and chars, everything if at least fine but most is aweosme. I dislike only the low amount of players I think... not your guys falt.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
Search Engine, Newsletter about updates, some serious update on the Work In Progress, so it never is showing info of 2-3 months ago :( That's sad :(
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
More regions and chars? :D
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
Recent activity and search engine for the forum, more achievements to make in-game.
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
Can tell for sure why it isn't growing at full speed, probably Marketing?!
I think we already lokk a lot like a family, forum, board, anywhere like that, we need to grow gathering the interested people about our subject and showing them why we are the best, or at least a top one, RPG ninja game ^^

Nothing in particular. Its set up the way a forum should be and everything is in order.
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
I like the diverse hp and skill range of characters. The way characters skills have good synergy with other characters, and there are only a few stand alone characters in the game. The only thing I dislike about the game is the priorities. I'd rather personaly see more side villages/region/story than to have silly things like training being worked on. I do absolutely love the animations.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
Nothing. The forums are fine the way they are.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
I would like to see more of the maps from each region filled out. Theres still areas on the maps in each region that seem blank or unworked on.
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
A tournament system that we could make hourly tournaments with prizes to top players in the tournaments.
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
Possibly a little more advertisement. I've only ever seen WoN advertised on N-A and never seen it anywhere else. Possibly have forum interactive events to bring the community closer together.

Like:The layout.
Dislike: Lack of activity, too many arrogant people posting
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
Like: Originality, general gameplay

Less spam...More discipline towards arrogant flamers
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
More customization and characters
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
More customization...c:
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
Better Admin-to-member communication. The "Work in Progress" thread never updates anymore. Can we be informed of what's coming up please? thanks
Discipline mean/rude people trolol.

■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Forums?
Lack of mods, I have seen multiple times when a troll/spam topic has been still open after 2 hours. I like good organization & the icons(they help find the right section).
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
New character updates are too slow, and while the balance is not horrible it could use some serious work. I like the story mode a lot but it needs to be less cliche. What I love the most is the energy exchange, it almost completely removes lack of luck in the game which is the way strategic games are meant to play.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
Amount of Mods.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
More frequent updates on new content. New titles expesially since they dont need effort from art part.
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
Tournament/Clan Tournament system. Better forum games section
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
More updates, they attract more players. Ads if you can afford them.

Likes: The fact that the members are more mature than both on Naruto- and Soul-Boards. Many are not aware of the forum rules there, making them do anything that they want. This is not good, not in the slightest. While on here, you can barely see anyone who floods the forums or topics as a whole. This is good, really good. I love how you have thought of a Reviews section, it is great! People can and do express their views on the game and forums. I for one reckon that the layout is excellent, too. I am fond of the report button, which makes it in tons of ways easier for the Moderating Staff to take appropriate action against the spammers and whoever we are on about.
It is great that you can share your thoughts on both the game and forum. I love the idea that you do not become a moderator just because you are the girlfriend of one of the administrators.
Dislikes I dislike the fact that the Moderating Staff does not take appropriate action against anybody violating the rules on time. You have got to wait for donkey's years to see the spammers punished. This is horrible. I have not taken a liking on the fact that whenever you post a topic, you have to wait for twenty minutes to see somebody posting on it. A forum, after all, lends itself to asking for teams and things to that effect, so by way of illustration, if I post a topic on a team with Ikuchi, in all probability I am going to have to wait for, at the outside, 10 minutes to see anybody replying. I hate that most people do not respect a number of countries and their members, as a matter of course. The proof for this is that I have seen people posting on Hungary's topic. Far from saying anything that is considered to be grammatical, they post random stuff in English. Example: "I am hungry too - oh wait..." These people should be banned for a day at the least. In all honesty. There are few smilies. I suggest the moderators to talk the administrators into adding new ones. If in need of help, I will be more than glad to give you a few sites that offer smilies for nothing, self-evidently. You could add some "afro" ones, but then again, doing so might result in black people making complaints about it, so you had better add some non-offensive smilies.
■ What do you like and dislike about the War of Ninja Game?
Nothing in particular.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Forum?
The moderators taking action much faster. Some of the members actually understanding the rules.
■ What would you like to see change about the War of Ninja Game?
It is good as it is, but maybe, maybe, people refraining from chatting with you in case they want to give you hell for not surrendering.
■ What features would you like to see implemented in the game and/or forum?
New layouts.
■ What do you think War of Ninja can do in order to grow as a community?
You could attract members of different nations from Naruto-Boards and -Arena by adding a moderator to every single language section.
The game translation should also be taken advantage of.
