Well, there a stunners out there that can put a stop to BoM. And since Toge isn't a large user of tactic skills + he is mostly used in spike teams, BoM wouldn't be much of a use to Toge.

It's the same reason some players would rather have Nozuchi have Pipe of Wisdom. It's because giving pipes to them rather than Shogi or Book makes them more flexible since pipe helps in 2 of their skills rather than 1.

For example, Toge users use PoS because it makes Toge use his attack skill with ease, but also easily use Vision of the Demon Lord if energy is lucky. Compare it to Book which just tells enemies to ready against Vision. Same for Nozuchi with PoW and Call of the Serpent or a speedy Devour.

I agree, it all comes back to playing style. Therefore, book of mentality is not the "better" choice, but "preferrable" for your playing style, prince of chaos.

Book of mentality compared to PoS has a higher cool-down, so when your enemies did something to basically affect Toge, Congrats, you wasted an item and now you will have to wait for () turns to use it again.

Pipes have minor bad effects and that is 5 afflict self damage which will kill tori even if she is in suzaku mode, and it can be removed using Yugana/Jatai.

But then again, it is just my point of view.

BoM only help one skill,but PoS help 2 skills.And VotDL is quite weak for me vs non-villain chracters.And the cooldown on PoS is 2,not 5 how is at BoM.
