Personally, I find that the Crystal Ball is kind of UP. Since there are (currently) only 3 characters who use counters, the Crystal Ball should really only be used as a swap-in when you encounter one of them.

However, as a clan treasure, you'll either have to already have one of the Senboku on your team, or swap in one of them as well, which is kind of restrictive.

Plus, if the whole point of swapping in the Crystal Ball was as a counter (pun unintended) to a certain character, there are other items that you can swap in (Painkillers for Amaya for instance) that can do a better job and are less restrictive in who they can be equipped to.

But at least one boss has a counter. I assume that the Crystal Ball is partially intended for that fight. After all, it makes your team uncounterable.

uh, i didn't think it was intended for boss battles, or at least i didn't use it. anyway, i agree, although remember, about half of the items are only meant as swap ins. Sake, Crystal Ball, etc. but i agree in principal.

There are currently only 3 characters who uses counters. You don't know how many of them will be in the future.

Lol. Not a day after I posted this, Kao gets reworked into a counter-using character. Have already played a few ladder games where a Senboku was swapped in to counter my Kao.

its mainly for those melee users, especially Takeo and his mirror Moon. There are lots and lots of melee counters which is why crystal ball comes in handy during those times.

And its great if you face a full counter user team

I agree, its kinda UP with very few counter users, but its unique item and I like it.

I agree. As long as I can see one of the clan members use it, mostly Takeo, then it has its uses especially in a team that has tons of counters like Kao, Yuudai, Amaya under one team, etc.

Sad to say I cnanot say the same thing for Bow of the Ancestors.

Mmm, true enough, actually are phw counter users, but that can change in the future. The only boost i can think of (and would obviusly make it OP) is showing invisible skills, it a crystal ball, after all.

That would be a nice boost. Considering almost all invisible skills are counters, it might be interesting.

I Fully agree on this one. This will live up to its name, "Crystal Ball". I don't think this will make it OP, cuz you only see the invisible skills, but no longer ignores them. Examples are Jatai's Snake Trap and Eien's One Step Ahead (Where you can see the skill, but cant see who is it on).

But if this happens, the admins need to fix the Animation, cuz sometimes they show invisible skills.

I remember an admin/mod closing off the suggested Crystal Ball boost since such an action cannot be supported by an engine. So being able to make it happen would be harder than normal.
