As a rate, i'd give it a 3/10.

The old version was much better. not only was there a direct story, but you didn't need to spend weeks leveling up a team to have one team to play against other people.

This is a casual game, i don't care if you think i isn't, and honestly you have to be a pleb to think it's not.

There is no story to this game anymore, seeing as how there is very limited chapters and you can unlock them at different times. Sure, you don't have to play them, but then what was then point unlocking them?

The fact you have to spend so much time on a causal game is ridiculous and is a big middle finger to people who have jobs/school/a life.

Take Naruto and Soul Arena for example. Both casual games. They don't take long to get characters, and it's not a time consuming game. And once you get a character, he's already fit to play with your friends.

That's a different story here, grinding by yourself in an rpg strategy game just to play with other people competitively is preposterous.

I can tell some people like it because they've been playing it a lot since the first release or even the beta like myself, but in all honesty the game has gotten worse and it's derailing from it's original idea. The whole leveling system in general is a joke to make you spend time on the game. I get it, you want people to play your game, but don't make it so that it'll take them weeks to do. I see there's a daily 5 win rewards, which is very small for an rpg game.

Also, the fact that people call this an rpg just because it has level in it now it now is a joke as well. I can see the creators intent to increase activity, and it's worked. But if you notice, there are far more old players than newer players because of this.

Also, i don't see why removing everyone's characters was necessary.
If the game is based on levels, they would be balanced anyway. That's another reason i regret picking up this game again. I had every character just to have it taken away, for hopes of a better gamee, only to be disappointed.
Notes:
I dislike Naruto and Soul Arena.
I thought this game was the better of the three until i played the new update.
I enjoyed this game in the beta a lot, even after.

Just my two cents.

You lost credibility in your review there.

You just made my day!
You have to search for weeks just to find the character you have to win against. Especially in naruto-arena, you ahd to invest much time to get a character whose missions are not just "win x battles in a row" or "win x battles".

The old version concerning the story was better to my mind too. I liked to walk chronologically from one village to another.

The only contra argument is that you need to spend "much" (it is not much compared to other games) time on leveling or getting characters. The xp and gold boost might not be enough. I would like you to suggest some ideas of how a player can easier get gold and xp.
Many people are complaining about this, thus, I guess, there will be new ways of getiing them.

I made an alternate accounts and within a week got all characters on Soul Arena. Give or take a week or two on Naruto Arena. That includes leveling.

If this is true, which I honestly highly doubt you got every single character on Soul Arena in a single week, then you are in fact a Hardcore player; you are not a casual player.

Look man, your review sucks. It's not even a review, it's just a rant. You make exactly one point and that's not enough to call this a review.

That being said, I agree with that one point. I liked the game before the relaunch much, much better.

Before the release of Senna, Yes. It's because i didn't stop at lower levels to unlock characters. I got 36 before i started to unlock purposely.

@Above: This isn't a rant, if you're too blinded to see that, keep playing the game.

It's still closer to a rant than to a review.

Then you are unrealistically/ungodly good at those games, and are the exception, not the norm.

I actually kind of agree with what dei has said in some parts. I think most people are just butt-hurt about the review. I mean, clearly something is wrong if we still have 130 players per day on average.

I agree. After the release we had 400 people playing, now after a few months we have 100. It takes forever to find a character.

I played the old game much more than this one even if we only had 25 people online because it was much better.

There is a bunch of bugs in the game right now. No one is even trying to fix them, but updates are still being made.

I respect your review and I am aware the game is not fully where it should be. The primary focus on playing versus AI until you got a sufficient amount of level 7 characters can feel grindy. However,we are currently working on Draft Mode which will open a new way for players to play War Of Ninja.

Draft mode will allow leveling players to play PvP and still gain good gold and rarity bonus. Doing draft games will not put them in a disadvantage against others players as both players play with random characters picked from the same pool.

It will be possible to switch between AI and PvP Draft Tournaments and still work on your overall progress while doing so. Doing your 5 daily matches in AI mode and then switch to PvP to do one or more Draft Tournaments should provide you with a good gold income. Using the gold earned from Draft Tournaments in the Dojo would allow you to level your characters even when PvPing.

I hope this upcoming game mode will fix some of the bad experiences you have with War Of Ninja.

My only problem with this idea is the question of will we get 3 characters that use the same energy? Or 3 Characters based on roles (Collaboration, Assassination, Disruption?

The later, i hope.
