I used the full Senboku team for that mission. It is quite annoying for the opponent as you cripple their energy through Amaya and Yume while building up your AoE with Takeo. It worked for me, even got me five battles in a row, which got me the achievement of full Senboku wins. For items, put battle armor on Takeo, a potion on Amaya and whatever else you want on Yume.
