Great series, really. Suzanne Collins is such a skillful writer, especially considering the whole thing is the present tense. The first one was great, the second one was about the same as that, but the third one was amazing. Such a great ending to an amazing series. I won't give anything away, but if you haven't read these books or stopped after the first or second books for whatever reason, I would advise you to pick up whichever books you haven't read and sit down with them.

If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.

3rd book was really amazing. I enjoyed every book of hers, even the Gregor Series. The only thing I didn't like was that I felt the end was a little rushed.
And lol, I was just about to post this topic.

Haha weird. And yeah, there was like, 30 deaths packed into the last ten chapters of the book. One moment your favorite character is there, the next, he's gone. Also, I loved how the ending was not too happy, but not too sad. It was hopeful, I suppose, and you want to be happy, but in the wake of everything they've lost in the end you just can't do it.

That's the thing I didn't like. All the deaths came on too fast. And yeah lol, true. But she did a perfect job portraying how war is.

I loved the series, all of it especially the 3rd book. I just didn't enjoy the ending. Seemed just kinda weird.

Really? I loved the ending. and yeah, the confusion of real warfare is portrayed really well here, especially with it being in the present tense.

I rarely like the ending of a series.... Actually make that never...

Personally I liked the 1st and 2nd a lot more than the 3rd...

I guess that's cause I really like the games, and the whole concept behind it...

I loved the series, but the epilogue was just horrible.

Yeah, that epilogue was kind of unnecessary. She should have just left that part up to our imaginations.

I absoutly LOVED the series. I love how creative she is, however her imagination does seem dark... The ending was very depressing for me, and just the whole concept of the last book was sad. It tells the story of possibly the worst life ever! But ya, amazing books.

I've only read the first book, but looking at the casting for the movie I can't help but be cynical

I mean the guy playing thresh, a seventeen year old, is twenty eight, what idiot thought that would work?
