I've had a bit of time to play this game so I think
it's a good time to review it now. For this review
I will be using Igns review style. I am not a
professional; this is only my opinion.
Presentation:
The interface is not as streamlined as you would
expect from an arena game, though it is not
greatly affected. In-game is the same as N-A or
S-A, no problems there. Character select screen is
a bit more cluttered though.
9/10
Graphics:
There is no animation, though it is understandable.
The art is well drawn, except for a few exceptions
such as Akira’s tactical mastery. There are a few
recycled pictures though those are only for ai
opponents. The game is artistic in its own way.
7/10
Sound:
Music is well made, though you might find yourself
muting it quite often. Sound effects get old pretty
quick but are effective.
7/10
Gameplay:
The most attractive part of the game is probably
the most lacking in that the system is based mostly
on luck, even with the new energy exchange it still
depends on luck and there's still the fact you'll
have to lose energy for it. Though the game does
include a few innovations such as Ai bosses and
items. Other than that the game is a straightforward
turn based strategy game. Though another thing to
note is that it is extremely easy to copy another
players team or just use a guide all the way
through instead of using your own teams.
The characters are balanced for the most part,
no problems there.
6.5/10
Lasting appeal:
The game will take you around 15-30 hours to beat
based on your skill. Though it may get a bit
boring, I found the end of the game to become more
of a chore than anything else. The game is also
lacking in relative difficulty. If you have any
skill then you will find yourself winning more than
you are losing. AI bosses are quite easy, with only
Isshou offering a challenge. Though I understand
how this game can be a tad addicting, though the
game does get repetitive.
8/10
Overall WoN is one of the better browser games out there
but a few problems bring down the games quiality overall.
7/10.

I don't mean to be cheesy but WoN is probably as good as it can get with its current concept. Though I think you should have shortcuts to the arenas/shops on the start menu to just make the game a tad bit more streamlined.I think the region select screen could be better if the regions are displated in grid format and basically you select the region you would like to go to, since I think it would be a hassle to have to scroll through 5 or 6 regions just to start playing the game. Though this is just my opinion.
