i was wondering about items like fire arrow. are there any other items from mission that u get for free? and if there are, then what missions do i need to do to get them?

You'll only get the Village Items for free by now. Every village last mission awards you a Village item, except the Senboku one (that you'll unlock on the Demon Lair) and the Warbringer (that you'll unlock at the end of Kozan's missions, but that's not a Village Item).

And yes, the remaining free items are either VIs or just Guard of the Warbringer.
