The Warbanner of Defense - most likely the least useful banner of all...
the defense it grants can easily be ignored by piercers and affliction damages
and now that we have the warbanner of healing, it's barely useful anymore, as the WoH grants you a PERMANENT advantage - the heal - while the WoD grants you a one turn advantage, which is usualy less than that of the healing banner
so i think, it really needs a boost...

so first, i'd say, instead of giving damage reduction, it gives Destructible Defense, so it couldnt be pierced anymore and thus, would protect even better
and then i'd say, it could give an additional 5 points of dd if a non-damaging skill is used(most likely a defensive, disruptive or prep skill)
of course, the dd would only last for one turn in any case

so articulate it precisely:


Warbanner of Defense:
When a member of your team uses a skill, they will gain 5 points of destructible defense for one turn. If a tactical skill is used, they'll get another 5 points of destructible defense for one turn.

...

this would definetely boost the banner greatly, though, it could be too much and make it overpowered - but i am not entirely sure atm and do not see many more options for a change, which would also not be op or abusable - so please, comment on this idea and explain why it would be op/up or balanced - also, i am grateful if anyone would like to share their ideas with me

Kinda got to agree I mean why would you use the Warbanner of Defense instead of the Warbanner of Healing because like you said WoD can get bypassed by spikers and piercers and Warbanner of Healing can keep healing you for each tactic skill you use...

I have seen sometimes some people who are using WoD AND WoH.

I like your idea. I think at the moment WoD is kinda useless, everyone would choose WoH instead of WoD.

well I agree.
WoH is better compared to WoD, but like Marcel said, using them together is a great passive defense =)

The only advantage of WoD against WoH is that it can help you even at full health, unlike WoH.

But full health situations are only turn 0 and turn 1(mostly). So WoD is significantly weaker than WoH.

I like your idea.

Idea with destructible defence isn't bad, but i think that it's WoH which is too great not WoD too weak. I suggest nerfing WoH in some way, probably disable it from working with melee skills.

The warbanner of defense is useful in the first region, and it works well with the warbanner of healing. think about this, though, if the character is at 100 health, the warbanner of defense would be a better choice in that situation, as the warbanner of healing won't do anything there, so they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

If they boost it as you suggest, and you use WoD + WoH = OP

I agrre WoH need a nerf, I mean, come on it work with ANY tyope of skill :S
