I want to openly discuss and break down what people are anticipating for both the Eastern and Western Conference. What teams people think will come out on top and what match ups people are looking forward to. Not to mention who will meet up in the Finals and take it all. I also feel the need to talk about the Regular Season as it comes to a close so feel free to do so.
I personally am rooting for the Bulls since Golden State disappointed me yet again this season. Not to mention with how they are playing they have clinched their division and the number one seed for the Eastern Conference, largely thanks to this year hands down MVP, Derrick Rose. For the Western Conference I do feel like the Lakers are the biggest threat despite the Spurs amazing season. The Lakers have just been heating up since All-Star break and the Spurs have been fizzling out. There are plenty of good match ups I'm looking forward to but this is a forum so I shouldn't be the only one talking. So what do you guys have to say?
By the way I do realize I not all the teams in the playoffs are on the poll because only 8 slots were available. So if there's a team you think will win and isn't on the poll just add it on to your post. I only put the top 4 for the each Conference.
Poll: Who's Going to be the NBA Finals Champion?

What, no Denver Nuggets. Just beat the Lakers, play great defense......... Just sayin'.
But if it's a pick you want then I will select the Miami Heat. Two great players ( and Chris Bosh)

You really can't count out the Lakers which is why I still feel they can take top seed in the West and if they do that, they'll be coming into the Playoffs with home court advantage and they'll be the team to beat. Sorry I know Denver is a real solid team now since the trades but they aren't in the top 4. I do feel that they can do pretty well in the Playoffs depending on who they match up against. The Heat are coming in to the Playoffs pretty much as a Top 4 underdog since only real Miami fans want them to win. They need to figure out how they're gonna play Lebron and D-Wade especially against the other top contenders, especially Boston and Orlando.

Scratch what I said about the Lakers taking the top seed since that won't happen after their three game losing streak. With the third loss coming from my hometown team, the Golden State Warriors! Amazing game with Monta Ellis dropping the game high 26 points, David Lee had 22 points and 17 rebounds and 5 assists, while Stephen Curry had an off night but shot 20 with and 8-23 shooting. Dorell Wright broke the Franchise Record with his 184th three this season! Huge congrats to the team! Sorry this was a little bit of me being a fan boy.

So Reklis , do you see an upset in the first round of the playoffs?
I think the Mavericks are kinda vulnerable but they are slated to play the Hornets and I don't see that happening. In my opinion , a 5 over a 4 is hardly an upset so those don't count.........
By the way, also love the Warriors. Steph and Monta for the win.

At this point I'm not predicting anything, at least not until the regular season is over. Until then you'll have to wait until i answer what I mean by upsets. In the meantime I am glad to say that the Bulls have clinched top seed in the East! No depending on how San Antonio and Chicago play for the finals games we may see a new best record in the league!

So with today the Bulls have clinched the number one seed with a 62-20 record for the Regular Season beating out the San Antonio Spurs who had held onto that spot for a majority of the season. Also the First Round of the Playoffs have been officially decided with the Bulls X Pacers, Magic X Hawks, Celtics X Knicks, Heat X 76er's, Spurs X Grizzlies, Thunder X Nuggets, Mavericks X Trailblazers, Lakers X Hornets.
My predictions for the First round would go Bulls, Magic, Celtics, Heat, Spurs, Thunder, Mavs, and Lakers. At least that's who I'm thinking will come out with the wins. The Bulls, Heat, Spurs, and Lakers I feel should have no problem's getting through this First round. Of course there could be an upset but I highly doubt it. For the rest of the match ups I'm looking forward to them being competitive and I couldn't really call any of them having a hugely more dominant team but I could say the Magic seem stronger with their line up and the same goes with the Thunder.
Well that's all I'm gonna say for now but I definitely have more to discuss in the coming days. Good luck to everyone and their teams when Round One starts this Sunday!

Allright , playoff time! I predict that........................
Bulls d. Pacers and Spurs d. Grizzlies ( I like the griz but they can't do it)
Heat d. 76ers and Lakers d. Hornets ( could the Lakers have gotten a better matchup?)
Celtics d. Knicks and Blazers d. Mavs ( had to pick one upset so..... sorry Dirk)
Magic d. Hawks and Thunder d. Nuggets ( I'm intrigued by the Magic/Hawks series)
Can't wait for it to start!

Alright so the 1st Round has been well under way and things have been very interesting. 4 teams had the chance to sweep with only the Boston Celtics accomplishing that goal. The Bulls, Heat, and Thunder all have to try and close out their series' in Game 5. This may be hard for the Bulls depending on how Derrick Rose is feeling after he twisted his ankle in Game 4. The Heat and Thunder should be fine as long as they get back to the level of play they had during the first three games of their respective series. That is unless Miami is put into another last second clutch shot, which they fail to make over 90% of the time. In surprising upsets, the Hornets have battled back to tie the series 2-2 against the Lakers, largely in thanks to their All-Star Point Guard Chris Paul. Also, the Grizzlies and Hawks have dominated their series against favored teams the Spurs and Magic. Grizzlies lead the Spurs and the Hawks lead the Magic 3-1. In less exciting news the Mavs lead the Blazers 3-2 in the series. What is turning out to a be a solid series is showing how strong the expected underdog Blazers are and how much the Mavs may struggle if they move forward in the Playoffs.
So with everything developing as it has been, my prediction have changed. I still feel confident in the Bulls, Thunder and Heat to close out their Series, hopefully in Game 5. I do feel that the Hawks and Grizzlies will also close out their respective series' in Game 5 as well. Both teams have been very dominant against their favored opponents and have not let up at all. I don't feel that the Magic or Spurs have it in them to bounce back. Sorry Dwight, despite your impressive performances, the rest of the team never showed up. Now I know I met get a lot of talk for this, especially with the series at 2-2, but I'm calling the Hornets to take the Lakers. They're finding their way to bounce back and are proving they can contend with the defending Champs with a win at Home and Away. The momentum is riding with them as they head to L.A. and I feel that they'll ride that to series close out.
