Hi all,
I've always liked Yugana and I was thinking of doing a deep analysis of her.
Strengths:
Drain Energy
Leech Health
Removal of Drugs
Potential AoE
Weakness:
Requires a lot of preparation and energy
--------------
I'll go into them in some more detail.
Draining Energy, this is her third move called Scent of Tranquility
It cost 1 Int and it will drain one energy for every opponent that have been affected by her preparation.
For me this is he main ability, it can drain a lot of energy over a fight and it will both help me use more abilities and not get bad energy and it will make my opponent act less.
Leeching Health, this is her second move called Blood Rose Requiem
It also cost 1 Int and will drain the health for every opponent that have been affected by her preparation.
This ability is good for keeping her alive and to do some damage.
Both of these skills removes drug effects, this is a very good effect that many forget or don't think about. What this comes down to right now is that it removes Painkillers, Sake, Crystal Injection,
Combat Stimms. (Might have forgotten some but these are the mains)
If you have a team with more affliction then removing painkillers is very very good since they have a long cooldown and can almost shut down a affliction team on their own. Same goes with Sake if you have stuns on your team then its very good to remove the Sake. As for Crystal injection that is just to remove the heal, but that can also be very vital, Combat Stimms is even better to remove so they don't get energy and also so they dont remove your Ki afflictions if you have Yume and/or Hana (since both of them work great with Yugana)
Another skill that can be overlooked is her preparation, it enables her other skills to work, but one thing that is very good is the 5 affliction damage it does, it might not be so much but one very good thing about it is that you can spot if your opponent have done any invisible skills with it, since it triggers on all skills. So if you see Yuudai take 5dmg and he didn't use his rage/invurnability and nobody died to execution then you know for 100% that he did his counter (unless he had some item he could use, but then you would see the effect from that item).
If she puts her preparation on serveral targets then she will affect all of them with the other skills so she can do aoe.
----------
Her biggest weakness is the time it takes to set her up and for her to start do something.
-----------
Here is a typical game for me with Yugana
Turn1: Prep someone with invis skill
Turn2: Prep someone else
Turn3: Drain energy (2)
Turn4: Prep last one
Turn5: Drain energy (3)
Turn6: Leech hp (3)
Turn7: Drain energy (2)
After this it gets hard, you can leech again if you can get a kill on someone or if you can get close to a kill, or you need the heal, otherwise I often start to redo the preparations at this point, but this is depends a on the game at hand.
If someone stuns me or otherwise mess with this order I will still more or less follow this as much as I can, I always play her with WoR so that I won't get stuned to much while preparing the battle, but sometimes if they have more spike and less stuns I change WoR to Kusa Flower, and then I often get delayed one more turn when I use the Flower.
----------
My thoughts on her recent balance, as you can see from my sample game I use the Leech Life very little, and I mainly use her to drain energy , spot invisible moves and remove drugs. Giving her another 5 damage on her Leech life is of course good it makes her better and it makes it so that I sometimes do 2 Leech life to kill someone, that almost never happened before the buff.
So her recent buff didn't do much for me, I still win more with her than i loose so for me she is fine, but I think she might be a hard ninja to use and that she might be underused.
If you read all of this, then thank you for taking the time, I hope it helps or that you can share your thoughts on Yugana.

Yugana is useful, no arguing that. Leaching too. I was basically at 5 health at the end of one turn with Yugana. Next turn I hat like 70. She is pretty scary! o.o
I have a question though, how much health is she leaching from each character?

20 affliction damage from each character that has the prep.
So 20-40-60 health will she gain. Atm. there is no way to boost affliction damage but if there was she would gain even more hp.
Normally the 40-60 health gains keep her alive very well, but she has to keep put up the prep since it runs out.

This is a very good analysis, actually.
And your battle schedule for her looks very efficient as well.
:D
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed how useful Touch of Eden is for monitoring enemy actions.

Could we discuss usefull itens to she too?
Usefull:
Warbanner of Resistance, as she use much tactic.
Warbanner of Defense is usefull too cause she acts all the rounds
Not so usefull:
Battle Armor, as she will not recover the protection, so i preffer to use WoD.
Warbanner of Healing, she can heal using her skill but vs enewies withot stuw itś a good substitute for WoR
What do you think?

I normaly play her with WoR so that she doesn't get stoped when she is seting up her preps, otherwise I normaly get a Kusa Flower if I don't need the WoR. I guess that WoD could work does it trigger on tactical and mental? I have to check that thought it was only melee/ranged like the offensive one.
The current team I have has a long build up time, so if I play vs. Shoji I get a Medic Pack so his bleed doesn't kill me.
Otherwise I'm kinda happy with WoR/KusaFlower.

Wow.
I love how Yugana is suddenly considered by some to be OP after her HP leech power is increased a little bit...

Yea, I even tried to explane how her 15 or 20 life leech is not the big part about her, but some people are very ignorant :/
Glad you liked it tho :)

Alright then I agree WoD could be a nice item on her, or in her team atleast if she needs the Flower someone else can have WoD. Since she only has 90hp, then the WoD could save some and then she could heal it up.
