On wikipedia it says that Colfer will be starting the as yet untitled eighth book in the series, which will be the last.

Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. very sad that the artemis fowl series will end with only eight books and that the graphic novel's drawing of artemis fowl characters aren't what i imagined even so it is a very nice book all in all.... for me it is actually better than the harry potter series which kinda left from the attitude of the character shown in the first few books unlike the artemis fowl series.

it has some major flaws though like on each different book there is a different plot.. like from just trying to earn money from the people it turned to saving artenis senior from russia then to global warming. it kinda messes up your reading but at least it sticks to the characters attitude.

overall: 7/10

sorry for the feedback on AF, my personal opinion btw so no haters please.

Well i kinda have to disagree with your opinion on the plots

It makes it more realistic to have a different base plot in each book, but with lasting sub-plots

To me anyway

I think Artemis Fowl is one of my favourite book series just because how it combines humour, plot and bad stuff into something good.

I can't wait for the eigth book but at the same time I'm sad that its the last one.

Hoever with the end of the eight book should hopefully come the movie but that's only a hope.

As for how I think its going to end, those that don't want spoilers should stop reading.

From the seventh ending, I can only guess that during the treatment for Atlantis Complex, Artemis will be split into two. Orion will be the human version who will go home to his family and a fairy Artemis that stays in haven and hopefully gets together with Holly.
For a lifetime we fight without freedom. Still we wait for the warrior's return. Though we're clashed down and broken, we'll still carry on. Alone in this lost Fallen World.
