SO I had this idea that would make user run events more attractive. Now the main reason most people don't do this is the bother, but there are some people (me among them) who don't want to lose all the contribution points it would gain us.

So what give the ability to link accounts so that they share post counts?
Although it would only be feasible if someone could only link one account, and the linked account would be permanent as otherwise people could use it for quick post count rises (ie two people team up, then they split and team up with other people and so on so forth)

Obviously this is a very rough idea, and it's open to almost any changes you could suggest

No, I disagree. As for example, if it was another person, and you linked accounts, his/her post count would count as yours and you never posted that much. I feel like what we have now is just fine.

Pretty much, yeah. It's good the way it is, why complicate it...

I really don't get the point of account-linking. Basically, it's not so attractive if someone else get's paid for your work (post counts + thumbs) and on top of that, goes around bragging about it.

Not fond of that idea at all and don't post on an alt if you care about contribution points.
