Okay, so as some of you know, Tumblr is a blogging/social media website.
Now last night I was having a conversation with Skeet, and he mentioned making a Blog for U. Tetra on Tumblr, which got me thinking;
"Why don't you make a WoN Tumblr page?"

Now, some people will just say that we already have the News ticker as our Admin->Members blog, but what about other people? Having a blog on Tumblr would easily add to WoN's player base and keep them too. Because with a Tumblr blog it would be far easier to post minor news events, such as new video commentaries, new guides without having to recode the front page.

It would also be easier on the newer members, instead of having to learn via noobism, they can just read through the tumblr page, easily accessing the best guides, commentaries and reviews that have been posted.

Now, I have already made an interim page on Tumblr: Here, in order to make sure that the name doesn't get taken. However, nothing has been posted yet, so it's not really all that exciting.

What's great about having a Tumblr blog, is that the Admins can allow ANYONE to add to the blog, so Yuudai and Yukigaaru can pass some of the responsibility of onto lower ranked moderators, without having to give them any special power over the Blog page, Heck, even ordinary members could post without being given any extra control over the Blog, all their posts would need would be an okay from a blog admin

So, I think I've covered every point, which means I've covered about 10%, feel free to try and poke holes in it, I'll see what I missed and what is plain out bad about the idea and hopefully we'll have a working plan, or at least be able to scrap it before too much energy gets poured in

I prefer it more, I find that the less popular but still known things are filled with less trashy people.

It just wouldn't hurt to have a Tumblr page.

There will be that small minority in any system that pulls people in.

Actually Tumblr would be better because posts aren't limited, you can actually give out information and post pictures and videos properly

Tumblr is like Twitter times 10 plus awesome

Also, the majority of Tumblr users are geeks and anime fans, whereas Twitter is used by everyone

So the number of users on Tumblr who would USE WoN is higher

I don't know Tumbir but the idea sounds good.

I find blogs so dis-interesting. Twitter is at least famous, not implying that I like it. But Facebook is good enough I think. It's the largest Social Network out there. Plus, FB is just a glorified version of a blog.

Out of curiosity, I did check out Tumblr (which first I thought was Karab tripping on spelling. ) and then Twitter. What I found in both sites were interesting. But I can't seem to understand how blogging works..

Low, you can't say that blogging is dis-interesting, that's like saying you find reading dis-interesting
The blogs you may have seen may have been dis-interesting, but blogging itself is far to open for you to find EVERY single blog dis-interesting

Anyway, as I said, it's not so much to be used as a blog, but as an easier to use, more member friendly and more diverse news ticker

Which then could get WoN more advertisement via users who use Tumblr

I agree that if WoN had a Tumblr blog they woud attract more members. The thing that makes Tumblr unique is that you can reblog wat people ave blogged which in turn would develop a greater player base.
