I know a notification system has been suggested before, but I have a new idea about it. Most of the complaints stem from the fact that if you get notifications when people post in topics you've posted in, you'd be flooded by notifications. Well, a way to fix that would be "marking" topics. What that means is that there would be a button that said "mark" up with the thumb up and report buttons of the first post. Marking the topic would make you receive notifications about that topic. If a person posted in the topic, you would be notified by a new part of the information bar at the top reserved for notification purposes. If multiple people posted in one topic since you lat saw it, it would still only give you one notification, like on Facebook. You could also get notifications when someone thumbs up a post of your on a marked topic. When you create a topic, it would automatically be marked, but you could unmark it(or any other topic that you've marked) at any time.

This might be kind of confusing, so if you have any questions feel free to ask. Comments and suggestions for improvements are welcome as well.

If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.

You can always check yourself if the topic has been posted on. It's not hard, and it doesn't really matter knowing who thumbed you. I really don't care, but I disagree.

@Below to rurudo: Well, I guess it's alright, it would be nice.

I love the idea!

Note: We should also be able to "unmark" the topic.

A notification system would allow you to find out what topics of interest to you have been posted on a lot more efficiently than jumping around the site looking for topics you posted in. A lot of people also forget which topics they posted in when and a notification system would help them keep track of them.

@Marcel: Yeah, you would be able to unmark a topic. I noted that when I said that you could unmark your own topic if you wanted to, but I can see how you missed that.

Oh, sorry. :push

Hmm yeah its a nice idea. But the Admins are heavily focused on the game and getting members to come back everyday so any forum updates aren't going to happen soon.

It's a good update that I want to be put into play.

Tired of searching through countless topics to find a thumb up, and sometimes I just forget where that day.
