I would like a explanetion why we are allowed todo this?

I really don't understand the point of it, don't get me wrong I totaly understand that if you see that your opponent has some very annoying melee ninja that you can then change to Niwa and start to chain stun his melee attacks.

What I don't understand is why I'm allowed todo this, shouldn't this be more about making good team, combo teams, or fighting for missions, why should I have the opption to add a new ninja when I see what I'm playing vs.

I don't see the point of this feature, to me it just feels unessisary and if I try to make a melee team then I get punished since they can swap in Niwa/Jun or some other good anti-melee ninja.

i dunno...it seems kinda cheap and unfair. but on the otherhand, you can swap characters as well as your opponent so in the end, the battle may be with completely different characters.

I think it's just to make it more interesting. You don't really know if your opponent actually changes one of his/her characters before you start. With this, it might make it less about luck and more about strategy, I think.

I thinks it's due to balance reasons.
In naruto- and soul arena you often have cheap teams, resulting in characters getting nerfed to prevent them. Here you're warned when someone does that and you get to prepare a counter.

I find it useful. Granted they swap, but you can swap as well. If you're face someone like Kamiko or Niwa, and you don't have the right equipment before battle then you might as well have lost. But with the swapping technique you would have a chance to beat that "overpowered" character.

Imo it forces ppl to create a good team, while still being able to adapt to different situations put out.

A full melee team may work and be balanced and so on and etc, but with the swap feature it suddenly becomes a less powerful team because it is easily weakened with anti melee ninja swap-ins or Caltrops.

So it forces even GREATER thought into making a team, because its not just having a strategy and implementing it but being able to do that while also being able to handle anything thrown at it.

Hope this makes sense:cheesy

I think it just limits me.

Ok, so I make a full melee team, and I come into the swap screen and I know they will swap in Niwa and/or Caltrops what shall I do now? Swap one of my own ninjas so that whatever melee boost I have doesn't work anymore and make my team so-so instead of a balanced "combo" team.

Feels like I can't put "all my eggs in one basket" by going only one type of damage and try to get something out if it, like playing Yuzuki with two other ranged ninjas, I know they will swap in that anti-range item and/or ninja.

If your not going to swap anything, you can only hope the guy in front won't do it because he will probably get the upper hand if he do.

Remember, you can only swap one guy and the item going with him.

Using swap you get 2 choise. Build a main team really strong but main streamed. You can usually hide your tactic by puting a ramdom guy on the team and swap last moment.

Or a team looking really weird, but the kind of team you know perfectly: You swap that guy for that one and that item vs a kind of team or that other guy vs another type of team.

When a team can be stun or spike with a single swap, it's really effective for exemple. Ho you really bring sake? I don't think im going to use stun for this match anyway!

I have never swapped characters but I have swapped items. It lets you quickly create a counter team. Both players can swap so its all fair.

I often use a make believe characters (usualy with the most scary one). When the guy in front realise he just bring the wrong item, it's too late for him.

I think that the ability to switch out characters and items is very useful. Personally, I've never used it. But I can see why it would be helpful if used in the right situations.

I understand that it's useful and I understand that you can try and use it to fool your opponent and such, I just don't see the reason why.

I just get the feeling that it comes down to that I have to play some weird team and then change one character and hope that my opponent doesn't bring a anti-ninja and/or item.

it's to avoid the main problem in SA/NA where the metagame is mostly the same 3-4 teams so every ladder game feels the same and you have to run those teams if you wanna do any good

it also forces people to make more balanced teams and to avoid cheap or combo teams since playing a stun lock team that give you no chance to win is boring

if ppl couldn't swap there would be only 2 real teams and their variants that could do good in the ladder

niwa stunlock teams (can keep 2-3 enemies stunlocked the whole game)
and kamiko/melee aoe teams (brutal dmg and hard to kill)

if you couldn't swap in anti stun/affliction/melee stuff then this game would get old really fast
