One example would be this which I made.
Basically, they'd develop the plot more, and add interesting story twists. For those too lazy to click the link, bascially, I made a Betraying Yugana, who helped Jikkousu stage her death. Now she and Jikkousu are back, and ready to kill. Over a few missions, you'd unlock her.
This would be like buying bosses in the sense that'd you'd have to have gotten so far in the story, like for that one, you'd have to have beaten Jikkousu.
So, what do you think about adding different plot twists in the form of buyable storylines?

Exactly, this idea is already in progress and I can't wait to see what they come up with for alternate versions of the characters.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.
