Kozan Isshou

True Keeper of the Warbringer
- Protector hit points increased to 40, up from 30.
- Melee and ranged damage limit increased to 20, up from 15.

Protector destruction order changed
Currently the oldest protector is targeted first. With this hotfix, we plan to make the newest protector targeted first. On Isshou, this means that Guard of the Warbringer will be destroyed before his passive protector True Keeper of the Warbringer.

This change will affect all characters in the game. For example, equip Nori with Battle Armor and activate her summon, her summon is the newest protector so that will be targeted first.

Another example I would like you to consider is the following:

I like the first part, I still hate the idea of changing the order of protectors

As I said before, just make Isshou's protector deal 5 damage to all other protectors on him each turn

i dont mind the proposal because this is initially how i though protector destruction worked so i say go for it.

EDIT: just an FYI this also stops the GoTW + Hebi snake combo as well.

Everyone already knew about all the Melee destruction with Jatai...

I'm sure in the end this will only prove to make Isshou as a whole suck ass and GoTW UP/Balanced. If you haven't noticed if you don't destroy his DD Isshou stands no chance at winning.

Maybe this will make you think "Why the hell do we keep putting Melee killers in this game!".

This change should do the trick until it shows a problem.(For isshou only)

Do you know this will make combos like

Kame+ (whatever character with Gotw) Op against melee?
especially since his protector has a limiter.

besides that the Battle armor will now drop from useful to bad especially with protector users like kamiko and nori.

What I suggest is that for Isshou during keeper, all passive items will be disabled until the keeper is destroyed, that way he wont be able to do the GotW combo.

Honestly, completely re-hauling a system because of ONE combo is a very bad way to go about it.
I certainly like the current system we have. Protectors can be bypassed, Isshou can be countered extremely easily.
Most of my teams use melee, so Isshou is a problem for me when I can't predict the swap-in. However, if I see Isshou in the initial line-up, I can essentially class that match as won.
Swap in Yuzuki, Isshou's nullified, stunned for three turns, and he'll probably be dead within two turns.

For example, the team i'm using at the moment, which includes Jomon with the Mask of the Kozan Saint puts its finger up to the GotW, essentially making it useless, while Jomon continues to smack their team around.

Changing this around is not a good idea.

Changing the order of protectors will turn out into a mess, so I don't think it's a good idea.

I like the idea of nerfing the Isshou+GotW combo, but not this way.

Completely agree with this suggestion. Would be better than changing around the system for protectors because of one combo. There would be new combos with gotw if you reverse the order of protectors (just like the one stated by dutch), so it wouldn't remove the problem with gotw. While Demon's idea would remove the problem of Isshou and gotw without bringing up new combos for gotw.

The GotW idea is maybe good on Isshou but it really sucks for other characters like Nori, it is a really bad idea for them. :oh

I've changed this hotfix to a full balance update because we are also going to change Toge.

Judging from the current stats, Toge and his melee team are the runner up for the next OP team. We hope to prevent this with this slight nerf to his Demonic Presence.

Completely disagree with the idea. Changing the whole working system for the sake of 1 nerf isn't a good idea. Negating the passive item effects while TKotW is in effect even seems like a better idea.

This is the only good thing about your proposal.
Think about my proposal in my previos post in this topic.
